Custom Caspian .38 Super before shortening

This gun started as a Caspian IPSC racegun kit with all oversized parts. It had a 6" barrel with a 5" Government model slide, two port compensator, double stack frame, scope mount, and race ready internal components. The owner did not want a race gun but couldn't pass up the price! He brought it to me to see what I could do to turn it into a carry gun.

I shortened the slide to Commander length, made a custom reverse plug, shortened and threaded the barrel, cut off the compensator to use as a cone/bushingless barrel (not a bull barrel), installed Novak Lo-mount night sights, dehorned for carry, polished and fit all parts, and hard chromed the gun. The custom key chain is a part of the slide!
